What We Do
We provide online teaching and a week-long summer camp in July to achieve our goals.

Online Teaching from Seattle

We will use a systematic approach to teaching online throughout the school year.
-
Core club members responsible for the syllabus guidelines will choose topics for course modules based on the school’s English textbook and subjects teachers believe the students need to improve.
-
All tutors will have the opportunity to participate in creating their own more detailed weekly teaching plans.
Each group of students in Taiwan will spend 40 minutes during their lunch break once per week attending the online tutoring sessions. This will be from 8 to 9 PM (or 9 to 10 PM during daylight savings) Seattle time. Each TEEA officer will hold one tutoring session per week to help the students steadily practice and improve their English.
As for the 2024 Spring, we are doing online sessions on Sunday and Wednesday from 9:40 PM to 10:20 PM Seattle time with 4th to 6th graders and 1st to 3rd graders every week.
Summer Camp in Taiwan
As our summer camp in Taiwan will only be one week long, it will be a bit more challenging to carry out effective teaching plans to meet specific English learning outcomes; hence, the TEEA will focus more on establishing a good rapport with the students during this period.
Along with the volunteers from Taiwanese middle schools and high schools who helped last year, around eight TEEA members will be flying from Seattle to Taiwan in July to help hold this summer camp together.
It will be a play-based English learning summer camp where the elementary school students, the Taiwanese volunteers, and the TEEA members will have the chance to get to know each other better through games and other fun activities.
Moreover, with this unique opportunity, we hope all participants can broaden their horizons through daily interactions that promote cultural exchange. Last but not least, we look forward to helping these elementary students understand the usefulness of English, further motivating them to learn this foreign language to better interact with the foreigners around them.
